As Wild Roots Doulas, the support we offer is not surface-level support. It is deeply rooted, intuitive, and embodied care, where mothers are seen, held, and witnessed in every layer of their becoming. What began as a personal calling has grown into something none of us could have planned, a collective of doulas and birth professionals woven together by one shared truth: mothers deserve to be deeply supported, fiercely advocated for, and genuinely seen. This work is sacred to us. Not because we decided it would be, but because every birth we've attended, every postpartum night we've kept watch through, every mama we've sat with in her hardest and most triumphant moments has confirmed it. This is a deep calling. Not a career.
Wild Roots is more than a service. It is a movement rooted in remembrance.
When a woman is truly seen, heard, and held .... especially in her most vulnerable moments, something shifts. She surrenders in labor. She receives in postpartum. She heals differently. She mothers from a different place.
That kind of support doesn't just change a birth experience. It echoes forward, into how she sees herself, how she shows up for her children, and who she becomes.

Our Collaboration with Parkland Health Center
When Birth Comes Full Circle
We are proud to be the first doula agency in the greater St. Louis, MO area to be in official collaboration with a hospital — Parkland Health Center — as the doulas they refer their clients to.
Being able to offer birth doula support to mothers in our rural areas, especially those with Medicaid insurance, is deeply needed work. We are honored to be working alongside the OBs, midwives, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff at the very hospital where our own children were born. We've come full circle, and we are just getting started.
